We’ve been writing software in JAVA since STEP Software’s inception in 2005. Our developers began coding in JAVA as early as 1996, with the release of the JDK 1.0. We are JAVA experts and have used it for a variety of projects, whether it’s a complicated websites to manage the quoting and purchasing of automobiles or software on embedded kiosks.

We often integrate native libraries into JAVA applications. A few technologies that we’ve brought into JAVA applications include GDAL and R. We create native wrappers to call common code libraries, and create custom native code libraries to take advantage of lower level, light memory abilities, such as walking large amounts of data in a memory mapped fashion.

In addition to the large number of libraries available for JAVA, we have a large STEP Software library that we use to move development along quickly. A few of the STEP libraries are:

  • Forms Engine
  • Machine Learning
  • GIS
  • Media Tool
  • Barcode and RFID
  • Email Engine
  • Telephone Integration
