🎁 Season’s Greetings & Holiday GIF(t)s from STEP 🎁
With version 2025 nearing EOL (end of life) and legacy calendars reminding us to upgrade to the new version, all of us at STEP Software want to take a moment to wish our clients, partners, and fellow technology enthusiasts a very happy holiday season and a smooth migration to the New Year.
For us, this season is about gratitude, diversity and elegant lines of code — and we have plenty of all three.
At STEP, diversity is part of our core architecture — it’s in the people we hire, the clients we serve, and the languages, frameworks and platforms we work with. Whether it’s a modern cloud-native platform or a circa 2001 legacy systems that still runs reliably on scheduled jobs older than some of our team members; we believe different perspectives and different tech stacks make for smarter, more interesting and resilient solutions.
We’re incredibly grateful for our clients, both new and long-standing, who trust us with systems that are mission-critical, occasionally mysterious, and sometimes documented in a Word file last edited in 2003. Your collaboration and trust keep us learning and improving. We’re equally thankful for our STEP team and their families — the people behind every successful deployment, careful rollback, and “how is this still working?” investigation.
As with holidays past, our office will close end of day on December 24th, 2025, to give both systems and humans a proper reset. We’ll return on January 2nd, 2026, with a skeleton crew to handle anything truly critical. Then it’s full steam ahead on January 5th, 2026, once the coffee is strong, the logs are reviewed, and the New Year is fully loaded.
Looking ahead to 2026, our GIF(t)s for Tech Teams everywhere would be:

🎁 Batch jobs that finish before sunrise
🎁 Applications that survive version upgrades without protest
🎁 And fully funded modernization efforts to finally clear your project backlog
